Beyond The Lens is a photography game where you capture surreal AI-generated photos as you explore a strange landscape.
Inspired and powered by Nvidia's GauGAN web service.
Controls:
WSAD: Walk Right Mouse Button: Toggle viewfinder Left Mouse Button: Take photo Number Row (0-9): Change style Esc: Open Gallery Shift: Sprint Ctrl: Crouch Scrollwheel: Zoom
Beyond The Lens currently uses external servers to process images, these servers can sometimes go offline. If your photos don't appear, please try again later.
Feel free to share, reuse, and remix any photos you take!
Known Bugs:
- Breaks when launching the game in the itch app's sandbox mode
- Breaks when running the game from a folder with restricted permissions

Such an amazing experience! I haven't played anything that makes use image synthesis in quite the way this does. The pure mystique of not knowing what weird worlds lay around you is so enthralling.
It's been great to follow this project and watch it evolve. I just never get tired of running around snapping photos :)
